Share a survey by link or QR code

Updated 2026-09-02

Every survey gives you a survey link the moment you publish it. Send that link to respondents any way you'd send a link: paste it in a message, drop it in an email, or put it on a slide as a QR code they scan with a phone camera.

Copy the link

On the screen right after you publish, the survey link sits under a QR code with a copy icon next to it. Tap or click it to copy the whole URL.

The share panel, showing a QR code next to the survey link for a respondent to scan or type in.

Show the QR code

The same screen shows a QR code for that link. Put it on a slide, a screen, or a printed handout. Anyone can scan it with their phone's camera app; there's no separate app to install and no sign-in on their end.

Coming back to the link later

If you were signed in when you created the survey, both the survey link and the admin link are saved automatically and you'll find them again under your surveys. If you weren't signed in, the survey link isn't secret, but it isn't searchable either: you'll need to have saved it somewhere yourself.

The admin link is different. It's the only way to see results and close the survey, and it's not meant to reach respondents at all. If you've lost it, see lost your admin link.

What a respondent doesn't need

Answering a survey never asks for an account, an email address, or any sign-in. A respondent opens the link, answers, and submits. Nothing about the visit identifies who they are, and there's no app for them to install either.

Sharing without a screen in the room

If your audience isn't looking at the same screen as you, the survey link works on its own. Nothing about it is device-specific: it opens the same way on a phone, a tablet, or a desktop, whichever app it was pasted into.

What happens after the 7-day window

The survey link itself doesn't expire or break. If someone opens it after your survey's 7-day collection window has passed, they'll see a message saying the survey has expired, not a broken link. See the 7-day free window for the exact rule.

Putting it in front of a room

For a live audience, the QR code is usually the fastest path: project it, and people scan it faster than they'd type a URL. For a smaller group already looking at a screen, the copied link works just as well pasted into a chat or shown on the same slide as the QR code.
