Reading your results

Open your admin link and the dashboard breaks each question down the moment a response comes in. There is nothing to configure and no report to generate: what you see is the current state of every answer submitted so far.

How each question type is shown

A multiple choice question shows a bar for every option, with the count and the percentage of respondents who picked it. A rating question shows a single average out of 10, plus how many people rated it. A free text question lists every answer as it was typed, most recent first.

The dashboard shows the most recent 20 free text answers on screen at a time. Every response is still counted in the total at the top of the page even when its text is not one of the 20 shown, so the count and the visible list can differ on a busy survey.

What a low count means

A handful of responses is normal, not a sign that something is broken. Most surveys on rifts.to run for a single presentation, meeting, or class, and stop collecting once the moment has passed. If your count reads zero when you expected responses, check why you have no responses yet before assuming the dashboard itself is at fault.

Results update while you watch

You do not need to refresh the page. Each new response is pushed to the dashboard as it arrives, which is what makes it useful to leave open on a second screen during a live session. Questions people skipped

If a question was optional and someone left it blank, that respondent is simply not counted for that question. A multiple choice question's percentages are worked out against however many people answered that specific question, not against your total response count, so two questions on the same survey can show different denominators when some respondents skipped one of them.

Closed and expired surveys stay readable

Closing a survey yourself, or a free survey reaching the end of its 7-day window, only stops new answers from coming in. The dashboard keeps showing everything already collected, in the same detail, for as long as you keep the survey.

Getting every answer out

The dashboard is built for reading results at a glance, not for analysis across many responses. Exporting the full set of answers to a spreadsheet, including every free text response beyond the 20 shown on screen, is part of the paid plan.
