Privacy Policy

What we collect

You can create a survey or answer one without giving us a name, an email, or an account, and a response is never linked to the person who wrote it. If you make an account, we collect the email address you sign in with.

Responses are stored so we can show them to whoever made the survey. We do not sell them or share them with anyone else.

Cookies

Our cookies keep you signed in, remember your language and the colors you chose for a survey, and record whether your visit is part of a feature we are still rolling out. None are for advertising, and none follow you to other sites.

Analytics and session recording

We use PostHog to see how the site is used and what broke when something goes wrong. It records the pages you open, what you click, your IP address, and a replay of your visit as it looked on screen. If you sign in, it also receives your email address. Survey answers stay out of all of it: they are dropped from the recording, anything you type is masked, and no event carries the text of a question or an answer. Recordings are deleted after 30 days, other analytics after 12 months. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Other services we use

Cloudflare runs the site and keeps bots off our forms, so it handles your IP address and your request details. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Stripe handles subscription payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe and we never see or store them. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

AI assistants and the API

You can connect rifts.to to an AI client such as Claude. A connected client acts as you: it can create surveys on your account, list them, read their responses, and close them. It cannot see your email address, your payment details, or anything belonging to another account.

We store only a hash of each token, so no token can be read back out of our database. Anything a client fetches is then covered by that client's privacy policy, not this one. You can disconnect a client at any time from your account page.

Keeping and deleting data

We make no promise to keep anything. Responses may be deleted at any time without notice. See our Terms of Service for more detail.

Children under 13

This service is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child under 13 has sent us data, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
