See How Every Survey Is Doing, on One Page

The admin dashboard tells you how today's session went. If you run polls every week, the next question is how things are going overall, and that has meant opening surveys one at a time. Insights, on your account page, now answers it on one page.

Pick a period

Choose the last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or 12 months. The numbers, the chart and the survey list follow that choice, and the page address keeps it, so a bookmark opens the same view.

Four numbers at the top

• Responses in the period, and how that compares with the period just before it. A busy month reads as "Up 40% on the period before" rather than a number you have to remember from last time.
• Responses, all time, across every survey on your account.
• Surveys, and how many are open right now.
• Median responses per survey, and how many surveys haven't had a response yet.

That last one is a median rather than an average on purpose. One keynote with two hundred answers would drag an average a long way from what a normal session of yours looks like. The median stays where most of your surveys are.

Responses over time

There's a column for every day in the period, including the days nobody answered, so a quiet week shows up as a gap instead of vanishing from the chart. Over 12 months the columns become weeks. Under the chart you get the busiest day or week and how many responses it had.

Live polls arrive in bursts: a spike on the day you run a session, a few late answers after it, then nothing until the next one. The chart is built to show exactly that.

Every survey, busiest first

Below the chart is every survey on your account, ranked by responses in the period. Each one shows its all-time count, the date of its last response, and whether it's open, closed, expired or archived. Select a title to open its results. The ten busiest show first, and Show all lists the rest.

How your surveys spread out

The last section sorts your surveys by how many responses each one got: none, 1 to 9, 10 to 49, 50 to 199, and 200 or more. It shows whether your polls usually land with a full room, and how many were made and never run. If the "none" row is long, why a survey has no responses yet covers the usual causes.

Questions you ask again

If you run the same survey every week, or launch the same template for every class, the same questions come up again and again. Insights now adds their answers together across every survey that asks them: combined counts for a multiple-choice question, the overall average for a rating, and for a free-text question, how many people wrote something and the most recent answers.

Under each one, By survey lists how it came out each time, oldest first, so "How useful was this session?" becomes a line you can read across a term.

Every response in one file

Download every response (CSV) puts all your surveys in one spreadsheet, one row per answer, with the survey, the question and when it came in. Filter on a question to line up every answer to it.

Ask the assistant

With Pro, the assistant in the corner can answer from the same numbers. Ask "how did my surveys do this month?" or "has the session rating gone up since September?" and it reads the counts and averages behind this page instead of guessing.

What it counts

Insights covers the surveys attached to your account. A survey you made before signing in joins them once you claim it.

Insights doesn't show who answered. The only free-text answers on it are the most recent few for a question you ask in more than one survey; the rest are in each survey's results, as before.
